This past week I’ve finished off my Coloring cardigan by Katrin Schneider. It has been blocked! I know I can hardly believe I’ve gotten to that part already myself. It just needs the buttons sewing on. I’m a couple of buttons short, mainly because I added a couple more buttonholes when I was knitting the button band. Finished pictures should be ready next week.
When I was finished the colouring I did indeed switch my attention to the Rosebud Socks by Wendy D. Johnson. I cast on and then promptly lay aside to work exclusively on the Coloring. I worked from where I left the first sock, which was far as the gusset increases and this week I’ve worked on nothing else but these Rosebud socks and they are now complete. These are my first pair of socks towards my box of socks for this year.
With no other projects on my needles I’m going to cast on the Aster cardigan by Marie Amelie Designs later today in some Eden Cottage Millburn 4 ply yarn. I have a sweaters worth in the Night Sky colourway and I think the Aster will look great in this colour. The colour is also going to be a great piece in my wardrobe, navy is a great neutral type of colour for me.
So the list is now looking like this;

Congrats on completing the blocking of your Coloring Cardi. You really got that one knitted in record time. Your next sweater is a very interesting shape. I like it. The Rosebud socks are so pretty. A very delicate looking pattern on the leg, for sure. Your list is looking quite grand. You really have completed quite a bit of it.

I’m excited to see your colouring cardigan next week. The Aster reminds me of wrap around cardigans I wore when I did ballet, they are warm, lightweight and comfortable, I am sure it will be another great addition to your homemade wardrobe. The monogamous knitting is working well for you 😀

I think for now I’m going to stick with the monogamous knitting, it’s enjoyable. Yes Aster does look like a ballet cardigan doesn’t it, it reminded me of that also 🙂

Yay! on finishing the Coloring sweater, Ruth. Looking forward to seeing it next week! And your Rosebud socks are a beautiful start to this year’s collection of hand-knitted socks. I love the soft color.

Good for you finishing AND blocking the Coloring cardigan. I love that one. Your socks are really showing off the design much better that the one made for her pattern. She should use your picture! LOL!
